November 1, 201015 yr I have a usershare that I setup. I am wanting to setup certain users to have read/write. One user to have read only. Here is what the share looks like: Share name: Movies Comments: Allocation method: High-water Min. free space: 60,000,000 Split level: 2 Included disk(s): Excluded disk(s): Use cache disk: Yes Export (SMB): Export read/write Exceptions:sage Valid users:testuser,Rob Invalid users: Export (NFS): Now I have a whs server. I have setup the "testuser","Rob" account and the "sage" account setup on the whs server. I have logged on as the testuser and "Rob" I can read/write to the share. Sage is the user that I want to have read only. I logged on as the "sage" account. I could not access the share at all. Looking at the share can you see why the "sage" account cannot access the share at all?
