boysim
Hi, I’ve run into a problem where the flash drive of the unraid is messed up. When booting I get the error “failed to load com32 file menu.c32. I can still read the flash drive in an ordinary pc. Reason why it’s messed up. I was removing a boot argument in the syslinux.cfg file ( on a running system) Unbraid 6.7.2 Asus m4a89gtd-pro USB3 And fx 8350 Kind regards Boysim Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk Edited August 21, 2019 by boysim Quote Link to comment
itimpi
Do you mean you removed the USB drive to do this? You should never remove the USB stick from the server while it is running. It is normally perfectly OK to make such a change on a running Unraid system as long as you do it directly on the server or over the network. Quote Link to comment

Like you said I thought it wouldn’t harm the system. I also did execute the make bootable file Verzonden vanaf mijn iPhone met Tapatalk Quote Link to comment

You did not need to run make bootable file when making such a change and not sure if that could have contributed to the corruption! Quote Link to comment
boysim
any pointer to how to fix this? Quote Link to comment

You can then rewrite the USB stick with whatever release you want and then copy the config folder from the backup you have just made overwriting the one on the USB stick to restore your key and configuration information. With any luck the USB stick will now boot Unraid OK. Quote Link to comment
