barajas.uriel
I've seen that there was an older thread about running UNRAID on ASUSTOR hardware. I recently bought their "gaming" NAS because of the low power consumption, 4 bays and 2x 2.5GBe ports. The hardware is awesome but the software is garbage. I've had lots of trouble getting portainer to make docker open up the volume to any apps. Enough about that. I have been trying to get the NAS to boot UNRAID, and so far no dice. It does not even get an IP address. It does however boot and goes through the bootup sequence with no GUI and no plugins. Not really sure where to go from here to get it to work. Anyone have any ideas? Quote Link to comment
ashman70
What version of unRAID did you try? Which boot method? Quote Link to comment
barajas.uriel
I used 6.7. Safe boot, no plugins. Quote Link to comment
ashman70
Sorry, what I meant was, UEFI or BIOS? Also, have you tried more than one flash drive? Quote Link to comment
barajas.uriel
I have not. I tried UEFI, set the BIOS to Legacy and tried booting the USB as well. I have not actually tried more than one flash drive. Quote Link to comment
MethyMonkey
Were you able to figure this out? I am trying a similar project idea. Quote Link to comment
