I'd like to change the split level on a user share from 1 to 2, however, that share has 700gb of data on it . I figure the way to do it is to dump the data on a disk outside the array, delete user share, recreate it with correct split level and copy back in data, correct?

 

I am unable to remove the share from the web interface, I guess I have to delete the data on all spanned disks then remove the share?

 

Edit: noticed the wiki entry for this, share needs to be empty..

Just re-name it to share_old, create a new share with the desired name, set the "split level" on it, and move the data from the old to the new.
