November 5, 201015 yr Ok, I apologize in advance...because I am really fumbling around here. Hell, I don't even know if I'm posting in the right forum...lol. But I'm trying to figure out the best way to get the Roku to pull media files from my unRAID server...using the Roksbox private channel. I basically just need to install a web server, that can push media to the Roksbox interface...but that's where the confusion sets in. Roksbox suggests Monsoon for the beginner, and Apache for the more "advanced" user. Now, I know people who have tried to install Apache to unRAID and have gone lighttpd or lighttpg/PHP instead, and that's where I get lost. This is for pretty simple streaming; Roksbox will only handle a limited amount of containers and codecs to begin with, so I'm just trying to stream my SD mpegs. Point is, I'm looking for the path of least reisitence here; simple, simple, simple...and low overhead. If someone has done this very set-up...and knows both sides of the equation...you'd be my HERO. But at the very least, I figure if I can get the unRAID side figured out...someone can take it from there on the Roku side (I've asked, but you know how some forums are...un-WHAT? LOL). So...what's the way to go here? I had another member tell me he uses lighttpd to serve to his PCH, but a member in the Roku forum told me...that while lighttpg is a nice, lightweight server...it has a 2G limit? That doesn't sound right to me, as I know for a fact this member who serves his PCH with it does BD. So, I thought maybe he was using lighttpd with PHP...or lighttpd with Apache...or HELP. Seriously, that's where I get lost. CD
