I do have a Gigabyte board but that thing is turned off and I did have HPA on one of the disks but I cleared it off manually using instructions I found on these forums.

 

Still, I notice all of my hard drives list their available space ending in 552 - does it mean I have HPA on all of them? Thanks!

 

My syslog is clean.

It looks to me like there is no HPA to be found. Your 1T drives show the same size as mine.
