September 22, 20196 yr https://www.ebay.com/itm/SuperMicro-4U-CSE-846-24-Bay-SAS2-X9DRi-F-2x-6-Core-E5-2620-v2-CPU-16GB-IT-MODE/133147369701?hash=item1f0033a0e5:g:iu4AAOSwWZFdQIVA I was looking for a Supermicro 846 last year, it was $500 then with just PSU and caddies, this has mobo and HBA for cheaper. Seems like a good deal? I already have a 20 disk array in a desktop and two eSata enclosures, the bandwidth isn't good enough. Seems like this chassis will fit that bill? Edit: also, what size UPS would you recommend? Edited September 22, 20196 yr by nerbonne
September 23, 20196 yr Interested in this too - if only for the chassis. Would be willing to rip all the components out and start from scratch. Other chassis I was looking at was the Norco 4224.
September 23, 20196 yr I have a 36 bay version of this chassis and they are fantastic, I think they are a steal at the price.

What are you running on your build? Looking to build an all-in-one server, storage and VM usage. Do you have a link to your build?
