Hard Drive not showing up right

I just shucked a 8tb western digital drive and the drive is only showing up as 2.2 tb. Any suggestions why?

    That almost certainly means that you have connected it to an old disk controller that cannot support drives larger than 2.2TB (effectively 2TB)..
