Modifying the web interface?

Featured Replies

I know that user CSS of the admin web interface is on the list but in the mean time is there other way to customize the pages?  I would love to be able to add links to my own software/tools.

Ex.  My plan is to plug in a USB microdrive and use it for swap and extra sys space.  Then install packages and be able to run things like Beagle (and Peagle) as well as apache (on another port).  Then have a link in the web interface to 'Extra tools' or something where I could index my unraid stuff.

Ultimately, I would have lm_sensors running and dumping to a web page, Maybe have a page to unmount and mount truecrypt volumes or run BitTornado ot TorrentFlux.

If we cannot then would it be possible to have the software read a text file and the URL in it and plop that on the web interface somewhere (only if it exists of course).

I know it would not be seamless but it would be nice.

I've been told that we canmot modify the web interface at all by another user.

What are the chances of moving that out of the compile portions of unraid and having the web interface make calls to the unraid software to return the data it needs?  That would allow user customization without needing a new binary each time a web interface change is made.
