KoalaKen
Hi all I am new to UnRaid and a complete Nooooob with no money lol and need to know a couple of things. I have a ASUS P5KPL/EPU Motherboard, 4G of ram, Intel core Duo 2.2Ghz CPU, 2x Western Digital 4Tb HDD, and 1x WD Green 240GB 3D NAND SSD 1. Is this hardware system good enough for transferring files over a private network using UnRaid ? 2. Is it possible to use Nvidia Shield Media Player with this system or am I just hopeful lol ? Thank You in advance for any answer's 🙂 KoalaKen Quote Link to comment
Waloshin
More than powerful enough as a file server. 1 Quote Link to comment

Should be good enough but just barely. 800 single-thread passmark = you might run into the rare case of your CPU bottle-necking transfer speed under the right (wrong?) circumstances. 2. It depends. For direct play (i.e. no transcoding) it should be sufficient but note (1) above. If you need transcoding (i.e. your media format isn't supported by the Shield) then forget it unless you are still in the DVD era. 1 Quote Link to comment
