Hi guys,

 

I found a new tool. With this tool you can partition, and format your USB stick. You can also make it bootable. Please take a look. Tell me your findings.

I had a USB stick what didn't want to boot. I used this tool, and now it is working smoothly. I think this tool is a lot easer for most people to prepare there USB stick for unRAID. Maybe document this in the Wikki with some nice screen shots?  

 

what i did:

 

- execute bootice

- select USB stick

- perform format

- select USB FDD mode

- next step

- select FAT16, volume label = UNRAID

- proces PBR

- select syslinux 3.86

- install and config

- default settings

 

and your done. Now copy unRAID onto your USB stick. Put the USB stick in your unRAID server, and boot :)
