Foregoing SSD Passthrough. In other words, how much performance hit if you DON'T do it?

Simple question really that I couldn't find the answer to. In short, I need to get an idea of how much performance hit I would see if I did not pass a dedicated SSD through to a Win 10 VM. In other words, if I just left a vhd on the Cache disk and used that?

I'm not too bothered about juicing every last bit of performance out of a system, but that said if it's going to cause problems in all circumstances, I will.
