Unraid 6.7.2 Red x on New drive

Featured Replies

Woke up this morning to see that my new hard drive is disabled. It looks like it try to read and write to the drive over night. I try to check the smart report but somehow this drive didn't have one. I tried running a smart scan directly on the drive and it had an error of drive not found.

Wondering if I need to get a new drive now or try to re-enable this drive.

I attached the diagnostics log, the smart log and screen shot of the drive.

Thanks in advance.

Bad connections are much more common than bad disks. Especially if you have recently been inside the case to install a new disk.

Check all connections, power and SATA, both ends, including any power splitters.

Then post new diagnostics.

I change the power cable and sata port this drive was plugged into. This time there was a smart log this time for the drive. Should I rebuild the disk again?

I attached the new diagnostics.
