Write delay error when trying to copy to Unraid

Featured Replies

Hello,

Any help would be appreciated.  My unraid was working great until recently.  Now anytime I try to write large video files (say an .avi file that is 700mb), I get this write delay error.  This is on both disk 1 and 2.  Sometimes it will write to disk #3 after those 2 fail.  Also I can play from any of the drives.

I notice that just trying to access the files system on disk 1 and 2 soimetimes takes a long time (even when the hard drive is awake).  Figure this must be playing a role in the write delay error.

Still running 4.0 final as couldn't get 4.1 to recognize all the drives.  Perhaps this is all related.  Attached is a recent syslog.  Any help would be great.

Limetech,

Thanks for reply.  Will try the repair tonight when back home.

All my drives are hooked up using icydocks, either sata or ide.

Limetech,

Ran the reiserfsck on disk 1 to start.  However can you help a newbie find the stdout report that is output when finished.  Does it come on screen and I wasn't patient enough or is it accessible some other way?

Thanks.

Cancel the last question.  I didn't read and typed Y instead of Yes and never ran the reiserfsck!!

What an idiot I am.

Ran it again and now alll seems well.

Thanks.

Now time to try to upgrade to 4.1 again.
