December 5, 201015 yr Hi all, I've loaded up the basic version on some old hardware and everything is working well except... I can't get the darn email to work. I've tried every combination of settings in the ssmtp settings I can think of, but no luck. I am using a GMX email account and I have successfully set it up on my iPad, so I know it can work. Here are my current settings - Forward "root" email to: [email protected] E-Mail Server: smtp.gmx.com Use TLS?(YES/NO): YES Mail ID: myname Mail Password: mypassword Mail Domain: [email protected] From Line Override (YES/NO): NO Re-Write Domain: When I try to sent a test email using the user script function in unMenu I get - Mail being sent to root. With any luck, it will be forwarded properly. send-mail: Authorization failed (535 5.7.0 Incorrect username or password {mp-us002}) TIA for any suggestions, DE
December 5, 201015 yr Does your password have a space in it? I remember reading that ssmtp does not like that. Another thing to try is specifying the port to connect on. Try setting the email server to smtp.gmx.com:587
