MCE error with random hangs and reboots

Featured Replies

Good day,

I have been running my little Unraid server and having no problem but recently my server has started hanging and rebooting randomly and Fix Common Problems has popped up - Machine Check Events detected on your server.  So I did what was recommended and installed mcelog via nerdpack and I think i found the error. It states in the log file:

Feb  4 20:41:44 Alex103 kernel: mce: [Hardware Error]: Machine check events logged
Feb  4 20:41:44 Alex103 kernel: mce: [Hardware Error]: CPU 8: Machine Check: 0 Bank 5: bea0000000000108

I think this is the error but I have no idea what that means and  Googling has been unhelpful.  Can anyone take a look or know what that error means?  I would appreciate it very much.

I have also done a 24h memtest with no errors, I've heard that bad memory could be a system of random reboot.

Thanks for any help!

Is the RAM being overclocked? It's known to cause instability on some Ryzen systems, more info here.
