Upgrade to 6.8.2 from 2017 release

Featured Replies

Tonight I upgraded to 6.8.2 from a release I downloaded in 2017 around 11/5/2017.  The server booted successfully and the drives/shares came back up.  When I tried to access the webgui though, I noticed in the http response an error that stated autov() is undefined at /usr/local/emhttp/login.php:309.  The login page is blank.  I made a temporary edit to remove the autov call and now I get a login page and can login.  The resulting page after logging in contains a header and footer but there is no meaningful content in the middle of the page.  The #document section contains a html header/body but no content.  I have a pro license that I purchased a while back.  Is it still valid with the latest releases?  Is there a reason that the autov function is undefined?  I did the normal upgrade of copying most files out of the release zip and overwriting after backing up my original files.  My go file is empty other than the startup of emhttpd.  Any help is appreciated.  Thanks

Unraid licenses are currently lifetime licenses and remain valid regardless of the release you are running.

A few questions:

  • does the system work Ok if you boot in Safe Mode?   If it does this suggests that you are running a plugin that is not compatible with the latest release.
  • are you booting in GUI mode and trying to use the built-in browser?
  • If accessing over the network what browser are you using to access the Unraid GUI?
  • are you running an ad-blocker in your browser?  If so you need to make sure the Unraid server is white-listed as many ad-blockers seem to interfere with the Unraid GUI.

You are likely to get better informed feedback if you post your diagnostics zip file (obtained via Tools >> Diagnostics).
