Which appadata to backup ?

Recommended Posts

Hello all,

I have installed backup plugin to backup appdata folder and thus backup my docker stuff. However I'm unsure which "appdata" to backup... I used to have share "appdata" setup without using cache, but since that was bad idea I set it to "preferred" for cache option and have mover to move it to cache ( at least I think that's what happened )

Now I have two appdata folders:
1. /mnt/user/appdata

2. /mnt/cache/appdata

How can I tell which one is in use and which one to back up ?

Thanks.

They are two different views of the same data!

/mnt/cache/appdata is the view looking at it at the drive level.

/mnt/user/appdata is the view looking at it via the User Share system..   This would include any (if there was any) data that was in the appdata folder on the array drives as well as the cache.

So I should backup only /mnt/user/appdata correct ?
