unraid 5 beta 2 running

installed unmenu and everything works except from the package manager

 

every time i go to the package manager .. i get the screen with no packages and i got this in syslog

I thought to be smart and created a /boot/packages dir from telnet and moved all package.conf files into that dir but then i still end up with this in the syslog

guess it is a problem with the script somewhere

did a search on the forums and on google to see what mkdir \r does but didn't figure it out

 

so hopefully one of you know the solution to this ?

    There might be a bug.... many of us have had a /boot/packages directory long before installing unmenu.

     

    To work around your issue (while I investigate) type

    mkdir /boot/packages

     

    The \r should not be there and is what is probably causing the problem.  It is shorthhand in some linux commands for a carriage return.

    Did you edit unmenu.conf ??

     

    The PACKAGE_DIRECTORY variable is defined there and if you had edited the file in a ms-dos editor it would have added carriage returns to the ends of the lines.

     

    That would cause the issue you see.

    oops never answered here

    if i remembered correctly i uninstalled unmenu and reinstalled it

    then edited with vi instead of windows editor and the problem was solved
