syslog.txt file possible to create from windows computer?

Featured Replies

Hey guys,

I've searched the forum for this, but somehow i can't find this anywhere:

(I'm probably looking in the wrong place. And i'm complete new with unRAID and Linux, sorry..)

I think i understand how to make a syslog.txt file from the linux command line, and how to get it from the flashdrive to my windows pc using internet explorer.

I suppose i have to hook up a monitor and keyboard to my unRAID server.

Is it possible to get a syslog.txt file without connecting a monitor and keyboard to my server?

Thanx

If you are using a recent version of unRAID, just type:

//tower/log/syslog

in your brower.

Save it to a file,zip it and post it.

Or, log onto your server using "telnet"  You do not need a system console connected for that.
