PROBLEM with P5B-VM DO board and IDE

i just got a p5B-VM DO to replace my old mobo for my unraid.  i have 5 sata drives running off of the onboard ports and i have 4 IDE drives.  2 of them are running off of a PROMISE PCI card and the other 2 are running off of the IDE port on the mobo.  The BIOS sees all drives with no problems, but when i go into the unraid web interface, it doesn't see the 2 drives connected to the mobo IDE port.  whats up with that?  what could i be doing wrong?

    doh!  until then i can just plug those 2 drives into the other port on my startech card - problem is that a standard ide cable wont reach the other port so i will have to try and hunt down a longer ide cable.
