I plan to provide a backup disk for a remote Qnap user. A disk is available as Unassigned Devices. What are the possible setups? 

 

I am thinking about iscsi in a kvm with the unassigned disk as a secondary HD. Any other setup? What about network setup? Reverse proxy/VPN? Is a specific subnet recommended?

 

Happy for any suggestions.
