Data copy slows down to nothing?

Featured Replies

Everytime I try to copy data to the server or on the server it starts fine then slows to nothing. I have tried copying via the network, and locally. I have tryed disabling parity and it still slows to nothing.

No matter how I do it, via USB on a mac, via SATA on linux, via USB via terra copy in windows, or via SATA on the server itself bypassing the network, it still slows down.

On the sever without parity it starts at over 50MPS then drops to almost nothing in the intervening minutes and hours.

Any suggestions as to what could be the problem?

We need a syslog from after the issue has occurred to really help.  Check the troubleshooting link in my signature for instructions on how to get the syslog.

Check all the connections to your drives and make sure they are good.  Also list the pieces and parts of your server so we can see if it might be one of those.
