broken_drive
Hello, I'm a pretty new unraid user and initially wanted to stay away from making some services on my server accessible from the internet until I would have a better understanding of all the things. However, things have changed and a family member needs to user a software which is windows only. I thought maybe I can solve that problem with my unraid server and have come up with the following setup. But before it is put to use, I wanted to make sure there are no issues with it, especially security related. So maybe someone here can have a look. Windows 10 VM: - runs the software - rdp enabled in windows settings - ip 10.10.20.25 ddclient docker container: - installed from CA - container settings unchanged - used to update the dns entry of my domain if my public ip address changes Guacamole docker container: - installed from CA - container settings unchanged - set new admin password - added new connection for the vm mentioned above (settings are shown the screenshot below, everything else is unchanged) NginxProxyManager docker container: - installed from CA - container settings unchanged - set new admin password - added proxy host for guacamole container (settings again shown in screenshots below) - 10.10.20.22 is the ip of the unraid server and 8080 the port for guacamole web ui - guacamole.domain.com points to my public ip address Port Forwarding set in router: - 80 => 1880 (default http port of NginxProxyManager container) - 443 => 18443 (default https port of NginxProxyManager container) Furthermore I have an openvpn container setup as per spaceinvaderones video. Are there any obvious things I should change? What improvements could I make? Thank you Edited April 14, 2020 by broken_drive Quote Link to comment
