April 16, 20206 yr I'm only a few days into my trial, trying to get everything setup and see if its going to be a good fit for me. I shut down the array and pulled a drive that had a error in the smart 187 error and replaced it with a different drive (the original one was never assigned). I also threw in a m.2 ssd. Now i'm getting a strange boot screen (sorry for the projector in the closet) i tried removing the m.2 and reboot, same thing. i unplugged the boot drive and plugged it back in....same thing. Not sure what is happening.
April 16, 20206 yr Author Um, i think freenas might have been loaded on the replacement drive i threw in. gonna try to format that and see if thats it edit: ive got it formatting via the sas card....might have been a mistake....10min in....still 0%.
