I know LVM has been requested before, although I believe that was for concatenating drives. I agree that doesn't make much sense on an unraid system, but...

 

Tom, I think instead of just formatting each disk as reiserfs, you should instead create a 1-disk LVM partition and then create a reiserfs partition within that. If you do, then you can use LVM's snapshotting feature in unraid.  I think that's a huge feature, and personally I would put that ahead of AD integration (even though I know you're already preet far along with that).

Snapshots are nice but they are much more useful for systems with frequent changes and unRAID is definitely more on the "write once read many times" side.
