Building my first virtualization PC for Gaming

Recommended Posts

Posted

Hi there

I am just after some advice.

I am looking at building my next Gaming PC where I can play off the PC and where my wife can use it too to play her games too.

I am trying to work out what CPU and Motherboard to go for as I would like to try and future proof myself as much as I can for future releases of games what could use more cores.

Some it up is 1PC 2 gamers.

Any advice is appreciated 👍

Many thanks

Craig

Hardware in my Signature works pretty well for what I'm doing, which is the same thing. 👍

This post is written using my virtualised, VR-gaming setup on unraid. 👍

Hello KptnKMan

I have a question to your Setup.

What I Need to do:

- 3VM's: Win10 with Word, Excel and Outlook (not a hight-end at the moment)

- Docker for mySQL-Server

- SMB

- and last the Nextcloud App

Think you, your Setup can also handle this?

thanke you

Definitely, without question.

I do all of those things now and more.

I would say that I don't use Nextcloud, but there are some options for running exactly this in a docker container.

You can find them in Community Apps, for example:
