Power outage during copy

Recommended Posts

I have a parity protected array. one of my disks became disabled and after the procedure to reactivate it failed to do so. I attempted to use MC to copy the files on that disk to another disk using "cp -r /mnt/disk# /mnt/disk#" during the process of this copy, there was a blackout.

Would restarting the copy cause duplicates? or should i just clear the disabled disk and delete the files that were already copies and rebuild?

Repeating the copy will not create duplicates.

You mention that your first attempt at a rebuild failed (I assume that is what you meant by reactivate?) so why do you expect a second one to work?
