ImSeriouslyDumb Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 I have a parity protected array. one of my disks became disabled and after the procedure to reactivate it failed to do so. I attempted to use MC to copy the files on that disk to another disk using "cp -r /mnt/disk# /mnt/disk#" during the process of this copy, there was a blackout. Would restarting the copy cause duplicates? or should i just clear the disabled disk and delete the files that were already copies and rebuild? Quote
itimpi Posted May 6, 2020 Posted May 6, 2020 Repeating the copy will not create duplicates. You mention that your first attempt at a rebuild failed (I assume that is what you meant by reactivate?) so why do you expect a second one to work? Quote
