Roancea
So, I think I hit my first real problem in setting up my new unraid server No matter what I do, I can't get the link to go to establish a 1000Mbps connection. It just defaults down to 100 Mbps. I've tried different cables, different switches, etc. The entire setup sans the unraid box can run fine on any other system at gigE, i.e. I've used cat 6 and cat 5e cables and ports that work on 3 other systems at 1000Mbps with no luck on the unraid box. I even had the same exact unraid system with a windows 7 install on a separate disk that would correctly run at gigE. It seems to just be the driver for the integrated realtek NIC under Linux/unraid. From reading around, there seems to be hit or miss issues with this chipset on other Linux distros, but I really am new to linux in general and don't even know where to begin. If anyone has any thoughts it'd be much appreciated. prostuff1
Send an email off to Limetech about the issue. Do some google searching and searching on the on the Realtek website for a new driver. If you find one include the link in the email to LimeTech. He may be able to include the driver in a 4.6.X or 5.0bX release. Link to comment
