aoomotayo Posted July 18, 2020 Posted July 18, 2020 (edited) Hello, I first created a Windows 10 VM but incorrectly set it up. I deleted it but now I can't create any new VM's. Once I click on create VM, the system freezes and I have to restart the server. I actually have to manually restart the server cause the reboot sequence also freezes. I don't know if there is some traces of the first VM I created that's blocking the new installs. I have tried to reinstall the VM several times but failed. I also tried Scrubbing and correcting any file system errors in the VM libvirt settings section, but that didn't help. I'm using the same name as the first VM, but I don't think that would create an issue. How can I delete all VM files and restart this process? I also deleted the VM file in the domain folder but that didn't help. Edited July 18, 2020 by aoomotayo added more info Quote
aoomotayo Posted August 2, 2020 Author Posted August 2, 2020 I found a solution. The issue was that I was trying to pass through my GPU to the VM, however, the GPU was in use by another docker app at the same time. This conflict causes VM in Unraid to crash and you can only get back to it by manually resetting your server (a soft reset will not work as it will hang during the reset process). Thanks to Spaceinvader's Plex GPU passthrough video. Quick for newbies, it takes some time to create a VM when you do it the right way (I thought it had crashed again). Patience! Quote
