[SOLVED]"No Packages defined in package configuration file(s)" - Where are they?

Featured Replies

Hi guys,

Had been slowly working through the Configuration tutorial and added unMenu and all the other packages that were mentioned as useful.

I was going to preclear a couple of new drives using 'screen' when it would not show up.

After looking in to my unMenu packages folder I get a message saying "No Packages defined in package configuration file(s)"

The machine has been restarted since 'screen' used to work, but I am pretty sure I set it up to 're-install on re-boot'.

Tried searching for my error around the forum but couldnt find anything.

TIA

Did you deleted the /boot/packages folder?  If so, you should not have.

What do you see when you type:

ls -l /boot/packages/*.conf

"root@tower:~# ls -l /boot/packages/*.conf

/bin/ls: cannot access /boot/packages/*.conf: No such file or directory"

After reading what you are saying, I kind of remember possibly doing that after extracting folders I didnt need.

I possibly removed more than I needed. (careless idiot)

Any ideas on finding these again? Are they created as part of the install or can I find the folder again if I download unRAID and copy it over?

run

unmenu_install -u

It will re-download as appropriate.

Thanks for that, back up and running again.

Need to make sure I backup flash drive and also be more careful next time.

Appreciate the help :)
