September 12, 200718 yr A minor bug in the user-interface. User shares show as "disabled" in grayed out drop-down field when they are enabled. I have user-shares enabled and set to export as read/write. The screen still shows them as disabled, even though they are exported as read/write. Joe L.
September 12, 200718 yr I can't seem to reproduce this. Joe, could you please print out the contents of the file 'config/share.cfg' (I wondering what the variable ShareUser is set to)?

Tom, Here it is... Oh yes, I'm running 4.2-beta4 Joe L. root@Tower:~# cat /boot/config/share.cfg # Share settings shareFlash=eh shareDisk=eh shareUser=er shareSecurity=user
September 12, 200718 yr The line shareUser=er Should be shareUser=e Probably you had user shares read-only before. You can fix this either by directly editing the config/share.cfg file or disable/enable User shares via SMU.

Editing the file did no result in any change in the SMU. Stopped, changed value to enabled, started array and now it says "Enabled" Just some minor conversion/upgrade stuff you did not encounter in your tests and deal with in your code. (I'll bet I'm not the only person who had their user-shares marked as read-only prior to this release) Joe L.
