August 2, 20205 yr i saw spaceinvader's video of quick switching using the same gpu for different vms what about same vm with different hardware? will get uuid error if you create more than 1 vm using the same uuid. October 3, 20205 yr Why not create a second VM with the alternate hardware that points to the same disk / vdisk. As long as you shut down one before starting the other, it would work and windows would just reconfigure. I don't know of a way to hot swap PCI-E devices, you wouldn't do that with bare metal install
