As it happens, I've got my hands on 5 decent 2.5" 5400RPM 250GB SATA drives. Seems like just the ticket to build a small very low power unRAID array with a miniITX board and a PCI SATA card. Still looking to see if anyone has tried unRAID on any miniITX boards. Would I run into problems if I tried to run unRAID off a CompactFlash connected to the IDE port with an adapter (since I have that on hand as well) or should I just go pick up another flash thumb drive? Throughput isn't as large a concern as power consumption in my application, hence the low power hardware.. Any suggestions from the cognoscenti?
