September 22, 20205 yr DevSleep is a feature used in Enterprise Storages to save even more energy (5mW instead of 0.5 - 2W, depending of the HDD model) if the disk spins down. Does anyone know about an adapter that creates a 3.3v signal after the disk goes sleeping? Like "if 12v is less then 2W then send 3.3v signal, else nothing". For me it sounds like a simple relay. But spinning up the disk would be a problem. ^^
July 15, 20241 yr Hey! Has anyone had luck with this nowadays? I think it's quite silly to waste 1/2W each drive when spun down...
