Hey team I'm new and a noob 

I'm looking into setting up a unraid system however I want to make sure everything will work and be ok before I do it and just have  a few questions 

 

I need a raid card as my mother board doesn't have enough sata ports will this work 

 

LSI 3Ware 9650SE-16ML SATA PCIe 16-Port RAID Controller

 

Also will I see much difference in 3gb/6gb

    RAID controllers are not recommended, look for an LSI HBA instead.

     

    3Gbps/6Gbps not much of a difference for spinners, but some 3Gbps controllers might be limited to 2.2TB.
