  • 7.0.0-beta.1 - Docker tab takes a long time to load, can not reboot

    • Minor

After a little more than half a day the docker tab becomes almost unresponsive and takes several minutes to load.  This happened previously and I was unable to do a reboot and had to rebuild parity.

    Attached this my diag.

    Thanks

Constant ATA error with disk1, check/replace cables, and try booting in safe mode  to rule any plugin issues, zfs master has possibly be causing some zfs related crashes fro some users with v7.

If safe mode doesn't help with the zfs call trace, try using a docker image instead of a folder.

I'm now almost certain that this is not a plugin issue, but a zfs issue with docker, this was just reported today, looks like the exact same issue:

I think that the best bet for now, is to change to a docker image, or if you really want a docker folder, switch to xfs or btrfs.

Thanks for the info.  I went back to 6.12.10 for now.   I have to use docker folders and don't want to switch file systems.  Hopefully a kernel/zfs patch is in the works.  Thanks!

You predicted disk1 going offline.  I just got back into town and replaced the cable and I'm rebuilding now.  It would be great if those type of errors showed up under notifications.  I have had CRC errrors show up before as its a smart error, but not just ATA errors
