OS version: Unraid 7.2.0-rc.1 I have a router, an Unraid server and a client MacBook. If I reboot the router, Unraid servers disappears from the Network view in Finder on macOS. It seems like avahi-daemon fails to restart when the server is getting back online. Here are the logs that I gathered: Oct 15 17:07:55 sojourn avahi-daemon[2207]: Leaving mDNS multicast group on interface br0.IPv6 with address <IPv6 address>. # this is when I restarted router Oct 15 17:07:55 sojourn avahi-daemon

Since the 5.x kernel based releases many users have been reporting system hangs every few days once the i915 module is loaded. With reports from a few users detailed in the thread below we have worked out that the issue is caused by the i915 module and is a persistent issue with both the 6.9.x release and 6.10 release candidates. The system does not need to be actively transcoding for the hang to occur. 6.8.3 does not have this issue and is not hardware related. Unloading the i915 module stops

Okay, so lets start of with this. When I started using unRAID, I wasn't really that interested in temperatures, never really have been, BUT, I'm on new hardware and since I bought the biggest All in One cooler I could find, I'm probably not having any CPU temp failures. unRAID was unable to give out sensor data in 6.10, 6.11, 6.12, and now also in 7b2. So I'm not too sure what's going on here. Also! If I start CPU-Z or try to get the sensor data from HardWare Info, my VM reboots. That was

hammerhead-diagnostics-20251114-0448.zip My appdata share is a dataset on a mirror-0 ZFS pool. Ever since the upgrade to 7.2.0, Docker containers and SMB lost write access to appdata. I upgraded to 7.2.1rc1 to see if it has been fixed but to no avail. `appdata` permissions and owners are drwxr-xr-x and nobody:users

📢 Bug Report: WSD Suppresses NetBIOS Discovery in Unraid 7.2.0-beta.1 Summary: Starting with Unraid 7.1.4 and continuing in 7.2.0-beta.1, when WSD (wsdd2) is enabled, it suppresses NetBIOS-based network discovery on Windows clients. As a result, only one Unraid server with WSD enabled is visible in the “Network” section of Windows Explorer at a time — even though NetBIOS is also enabled on all servers. 🧪 Tested Configuration: Server Version NetBIOS WSD Behavior UNRAID-01 7.1.0-rc.3 Yes No Visibl

At startup I'm having an issue where the system is stuck at "starting array" with it stuck on mounting the disk. If I downgrade things start to work again but upgrading sometimes works. I've attached my logs from when it was not working and the system had to force reboot and gather logs. syslog-previous server-diagnostics-20250803-2133.zip

Upgraded my server from v 7.1.4 to the 7.2.0-rc2, however I noticed that the allocation profile for my ZFS pool has changed from 3 vdevs 8 devices to now reading 1 vdev 24 devices in the GUI. However, it should be noted that the ZFS pool status and pool information still recognises that there is 3 separate VDEVs however I am reluctant to try and add drives to the Pool in order to expand the VDEVs. Thanks for any help and feedback in advance. Attached are pictures of the issue as presented.

I updated to the RC1 this week. Saturday morning, I tried to transfer archive from my NAS to my Unraid server via Solid Explorer on my android Tablet. The transfer would fail at the initialization without much information. I jumped to my Windows Tablet to make the transfer with the same result. This time however, Windows told me that there were not enough space on the drive to transfer my files. I do have enough space… I jumped a second time to my main computer and obtained the same result. DNS is acting strangely resolving to 127.0.0.1 . My Linux laptop on the exact same network using the exact same DNS 1.0.0.1 (cloudflare) resolves just fine, but Unraid does not. This issue is also passed down to the Dockers as well. Laptop dig bitsearch.to ; <<>> DiG 9.20.13 <<>> bitsearch.to ;; global options: +cmd ;; Got answer: ;; ->>HEADER<

On the second of my two servers, one of my shares has gone into the state of the attached image. When I do `ls /mnt/user/', there is only the directory with this one casing listed. Everything was working fine before the update. The share is inaccessible to SMB now that it is in this state, which is how I use it primarily. Is there anything else I can provide to help debug this?

Red text is serif, looks like it needs font-face defined. Also while that is running, every few seconds the 'autostart' buttons animate, like the whole page is being refreshed.

Hi, After updating from version 7.1.3 to 7.1.4 (and beta 7.2), docker containers running on a custom docker network do not start when the OS boots up. According to the log, the network cannot be found. I did not have this problem with version 7.1.3. The network uses the macvlan driver with host access enabled, bridging is disabled, and the custom network is eth0. I am attaching the logs from version 7.2, but I assume that this is the same problem as in version 7.1.4. Thanks in advance unrai

Just updated to 7.2.0-rc1 last night on my backup server. All went smoothly. Server really isn't running much at all. Simple array without parity, VM service off, Docker basically idle (Frigate installed but stopped for a few month now, pending camera re-installations). Updated around 9:00PM last night. While asleep at 3:00AM, logged this error in syslog. Do not believe there was any activity on the server (outside the times which my scheduled backup activities happen). Diags attached. I

I am not sure where to start but SFHS appears to be crashing for me. When I do "df -h | grep shfs" it does not show the /mnt/user or /mnt/user0 I did change my cache drives AND move to ZFS a week or two ago and have been pretty much hands off my server other than getting into VMs, automated media adding and jellyfin until I upgraded from 7.1.4 and then a day or two later tried to add another container. Fresh power power cycle everything works fine for a while. I can us my jellyfin, plex, ARR s

I am having issues opening folders/files across the SMB network on a Windows client since upgrading to the beta. A folder I was just in will suddenly become inaccessible. A file I may have just accessed will now give an error that it doesn't exist. If I try to access the folder or file multiple times, it will become available again. This is happening quite randomly on random files and folders. I see no pattern. I also see no errors in the Unraid GUI. tower-syslog-20250807-1710.zip tower-diagno

Hello, I have just noticed that in Unraid 7.2.0 RC1 in main dashboard name for pools is starting with "lowercase" but for array it starts with "uppercase". It is not so big issue but would be nice to have it unified. Please see attached screenshot.

I am using tailscale in combination with the mullvad addon. I would like to make one of my dockers use a mullvad exit node by default. When choosing an exit node in the settings for the docker I can only choose my own devices that I made an exit node, not the mullvad addons. Is that a feature to come or a bug ? I also noticed that the "tailscale webui" does not take the port into account. It takes you to the tailscale IP but does not use the port,

Updated to 7.2.0 rc2 and seeing that Unraid is not properly reporting spin up/down status. The disk is clearly being used, I'm actually running a script at the moment which is moving data, but the GUI says the drives are currently spun down. I've tried closing the browser and reloading, moving pages etc, and it's still not reporting the proper status. This was not an issue in rc1. **Update This also seems to be preventing the free/used space from being updated in the GUI too. Happening to all

Yesterday I had a problem with my Unraid system. I am currently using version 7.2.0-rc.2. I was unable to log in to Unraid yesterday. The login page was unavailable. Logging in via SSH did not work either. The new mobile app was also unable to connect to my Unraid system. All Docker containers were accessible and the VMs were working. Only after a hard reset of my system was I able to log into Unraid again. Unfortunately, this means I no longer have any log files. After the problem, I activated

It was working and connected to my router, I did a reboot of my router due to a firmware update and that's when I noticed the wifi was giving me a red antenna instead of white or blue and the logs were telling me wifi failed to start. Additially if I disable it in the settings and re-enable it, i get the same error message in the logs and DNS resolution stops working until I make a change in the ethernet settings and save it, then DNS comes back. wifi worked, not sure if the kernel update did s
