  • [7.0.0-beta2] VM Usage Monitoring Logic Issue

    The monitoring logic for VM usage seems odd, or not accurate enough. I did some simple testing and here are my guesses

     

    The displayed network traffic may be the sum of traffic generated between refresh intervals. The default refresh interval is 3 seconds, and when my gigabit network is fully utilized, the Net RX/TX in Openwrt VM Usage shows around 360MB/s. Dividing 360 by 3 gives 120MB/s, approximately the limit of a gigabit network.

     

    When I change the refresh interval to 1 second, the fully utilized gigabit network shows around 120MB/s, which aligns with the common understanding of "network speed."

    Priority Definitions

     

    Minor = Something not working correctly.

     

    Urgent = Server crash, data loss, or other showstopper.

     

    Annoyance = Doesn't affect functionality but should be fixed.

     

    Other = Announcement or other non-issue.
