• [6.6.6] Unreasonable number of writes reported

    quinnmjcj

One of my disks reported a HUGE number of writes (see Main.pdf) immediately after restarting unraid.

I was unmounting and remounting disk6 to rebuild it.  disk5 had the large number of writes and the write errors when I mounted disk6 and restarted.....  I've had this happen with disk5 a couple of times in the past.

This is with stable 6.6.6 unraid - log attached.

This is a general support problem, not a bug, but while it's not moved by a mod, disk5 dropped offline, so there's no SMART, but more likely a connection issue, you should look or post the SMART report after checking connections/rebooting.

You'll then need to restart rebuilding disk6.

Also, parity2 had some media errors, so recommend running an extended SMART test.
