Figured it out. What made it difficult is the bloody file I was using was faulty. Rolled back a couple of versions and it worked.

Well that did not fix the stuttering problem but no more messages in the log. The stuttering is really weird sometimes it will happen like clock work every 50 minutes for 3 times, then nothing for a whole day. If I ever figure it out I will post something.

I found this post in another area about the network interface and I had an error about my BR0 resetting so I am giving it a go. If it solves my problem I will post to that affect.

Hello, I have this program that I want to run on my unraid server. It would usually be installed on a USB drive or an SD card by balenetcher or something and then plugged into a pc and booted and viola it would run and do its thing, kind of like a live cd/usb thing. Is there a way of getting this to run in a VM or Docker on Unraid? Thanks! Snorf

It looks like that is the me opening and closing Roon on my PC, LOL. But i still have the problem of it seems like every 50 minutes i have a stutter stop then it starts again on its own. I will keep investigating, This never happened before and now I have to figure it out. Maybe someone else has the answer or where to look. We will see. If I ever figure it out I will post here for the next person that has this issue. Snorf

I have started getting this error on the roonserver docker in the log. System.Net.Sockets.SocketException (104): Connection reset by peer at System.Net.Sockets.Socket.AwaitableSocketAsyncEventArgs.ThrowException(SocketError error, CancellationToken cancellationToken) I do not know if they are related but every once in a while (few hours/day) roon will stutter play for a minute or so and then just start playing again or I advance to the next song and it will start again. Any help appreciated, not sure what to do or try. Background: running roon for like 6 months no problem then in the last month or so this has started happening, I am on Qobuz and have a library. Network is pfsense router, gigabit internet connection, all devices with cat 6a. Snorf

JorgeB, SOLVED - Thank you it is back up and running. For future, is there a way to copy the files onto the flash drive without having to shutdown and pull it out and stick it in another computer? I could not get around the file permissions to copy directly to the flash drive from my network. Thanks again! Snorf

Hello, Had an unclean power off and now the 3 array disks and cache drive all show "Unmountable: No file system". Tried rebooting and still the same. Attached is a diagnostic and I restarted the array in maintenance mode and have attached -nv logs for each drive. Not sure how to read these and what to do next. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have 2 spare drives that have been pre-cleared and are just sitting as unassigned devices. Thanks in advance for any and all help. I have reformatted and cleaned my USB drive many times and tried to load UNRAID on it and the installer just hangs at "syncing file system.....". Went to this post: Stuck my USB drive in my laptop and ran the installer and it worked! Yeah! Copied my config folder and other folders back onto the USB and the UNRAID server fired right up back to where I was when I left only at the newest stable version 6.8.3. Thank you for all the help. No idea why the USB would go bad just sitting there. Do you think I should get another new USB drive and replace this one? Cheers!

Excellent, so let me get this straight. 1. Reload 6.7.2 onto my original flash drive. 2. Copy the entire old config folder over to the newly created flash drive. 3. Try to reboot the unraid server with this flash drive. Where do I download the installer for version 6.7.2??? Thanks!

Hi everyone, and thanks for looking. To make a long story short. 1. Bought Pro Key and installed a bunch of drives to play around. (June 2019) 2. Started to get things ironed out and figuring out what to do, but shutdown and unplugged unraid server and went on 7 month trip. 3. Wuhan happened and came home early. 4. Tried to fire up unraid many times and it just hangs during a part of the boot sequence from the USB drive. 5. Installed trial on a USB I had around and tried to boot and it worked! 6. Shutdown server and plugged the original USB into my Windows computer and it saw everything so I copied it all into a folder on the computer in case it totally dies. This is where things get tricky for me. I was running 6.7.2. I have a bunch of drives in there that are all the same so I do not know which one or ones are parity. I know the 2 ssd's are my cache but that is it. Since I have all the files from my original USB copied can I figure out which drives are what or copy some of the files onto a new USB so everything is back to normal? I do not have the unraid made zip backup of the usb and cannot really make one unless I know how unraid makes the zip backup? Any suggestions and help would be awesome. Cheers

If I do build a unRAID box. What version of the software should I start with? I will be buying 2TB or 3TB drives, probably 3TB drives.

Can anyone suggest a system that will fit with my main goals? -Fairly fast -Easy -Little maintenance This is really the deciding factor. Something that just works and works well. I really do not want to have to out source my network needs like I do at work. Should I just buy a Synology or Qnap that I can expand in the future?

This is great thanks for the input. I need to make an informed decision. opentoe, is there anything for me then? This is the problem I have been having. Most things just lack certain things that would make them great. What could I not do because of the speed? Is there a way I could build it that would give me more speed, a more robust build? Snorf
