  1. Thanks for the reply soto. This is what comes back with that command. I even tried the format drive command after that and I get the same message as before. root@PlexServer:~# scsi_ready -v /dev/sg9 sg_turs -v /dev/sg9 test unit ready cdb: 00 00 00 00 00 00 test unit ready: Descriptor format, current; Sense key: Not Ready Additional sense: Logical unit not ready, initializing command required Descriptor type: Information >> descriptor too short 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 00 Descriptor type: Command specific 0x0000000000000000 Descriptor type: Sense key specific: Progress indication: 0.00% Descriptor type: Field replaceable unit code=0x0 Descriptor type: Block commands Incorrect Length Indicator (ILI) clear Descriptor type: Vdevice not ready

  3. Unfortunately I don't have another controller to try. And as mentioned the strange this is that when I try to go into the BIOS of the card the keyboard doesn't function. Sent from my Pixel 3 XL using Tapatalk
  4. sorry about that. I even read the guideline saying I should post the diagnostics but still forgot to do it. Please see attached. plexserver-diagnostics-20200215-0541.zip
  5. Hello all noob here. I am trying to setup a new system and having an issue with some of my SAS drives not showing up as available array devices. I have 8x HUS724040ALS640 4TB hard drives that will go in the system. That being said I purchased them in 2 batches. Batch one was 3 drives in version A1C4 which all seem to show up nicely however batch 2 was 5 drives that are in version A152 and for some reason I cant get any of these drives to show as available array devices. The strange thing is that ALL the drives show up in my Tools/System Devices/SCSI devices list however the ones with version A152 do not show a size. I am using an Fatal1ty x79 MB with a LSI 9200-8i flashed with v20 IT firmware. On a separate but maybe important note for some reason when i get into the BIOS for the (LSI 9200-8i) my keyboard no longer works (i even tried PS/2) so i have not really been able to configure the card. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
