After a rebuilt, 2 of my shares no longer show any data. The data is still available on the discs.
All hard drives were tested with xfs_repair and are ok.
I noticed that the shares are now split level 1. But they should be "".
I could now make 2 new shares and copy or move the data.
Is there a way to change the splitlevel and display the data again?
Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Nach einem rebuilt zeigen 2 meiner Shares keine Daten mehr an.
Die Daten sind auf den Disks noch vorhanden.
Alle Festpatten wurden mit xfs_repair getestet und sind ok.
Hat jemand andere Vorschläge?

My server is not runnig all times.
@Do you disable spin down for parity checks or at all times?
I disable spin down for all times.
@Also, if you got an error this way, do you run a correcting check afterwards?
After clear stats, my disk a all green without errors.
All my data are fine.
@If your disks are spinning all the time, isn't that bad for longevity?
The most problem for hdd's is heat and shock.
@docker updates not available!
Make sure your dns service is on 1.1.1.1 or 8.4.8.8.

I had similar problems.
It was a problem with spin down disks.
I set spin down in disksettings to never
and clear stats on the mainpage.
I think my controller has a problem with spin down.

Hallo, ich habe die auch gehabt. Windows 10 Bootvorgang bis zu 10min. Hab jetzt die Mellanox x3 drin, keine Probleme.
Die NC550SFP+ laufen jetzt in einem Win Server 2019 ohne Probleme.

ssd ca. 1watt
cpu ca. 15-20watt
idle ca. 20watt
Anschaffung mit Lüftern a 15euro 120Euro

Habe es so gemacht.
Stromverbrauch ist niedig.
Ich werde von opnsense aber auch wieder absehen.
Die Logik der Software hat sich mir auch noch nicht erschlossen.
Ein falsches Häckchen und nichts geht mehr.
Ist eher für Profis oder die es werden wollen.
Wenn Du dich mit roles und nat auskennst ok.

Kein Rechner mehr ohne ipmi.
Wer es hat, weiß es zu schätzen. 🙂

Schau Dir mal die Dell rx20 (x=2-9Reihe) an.
Hab gerade einen r320 für 93Euro aus der Bay ersteigert. 4x 3,5 usw.
Laufen recht leise und sind günstig. Speicher, günstig. Cpus günstig.
Mein R910 hat 48cores, 256ram, allerdings wird es dann teurer wegen Stromverbrauch.
Alle Grätesind 24/7 Läufer. Du must Dir nur den passenden aussuchen.
Für die Festplatten habe ich Diskshelfs von Netapp.

Shelf is a NetApp DS4243 / IOM6.
The controller is a NetApp PMC-Sierra PM8003 SCC 4-Port QSFP PCIe x8.
The 6.8.3 Version has the kernel: pm80xx 0000:27:00.0: pm80xx: driver version 0.1.39.
The 6.9.0 Version stable has the kernel: pm80xx 0000:27:00.0: pm80xx: driver version 0.1.40
The controller didn't find my drives with the new driver.
It's a new driver problem.

you're right, if you have 2 or 3 or more hdd's which lose the write cache it's better with serial identifer.
In my server all hdd lost write cache at the new start.
i'm not a scripter but
declare -a StringArray=("ata-WDC_WD2003FYYS-70W080_WJUN0123456" "DRIVE2" "DRIVE3" "DRIVE4")
will not work.
I am new in linux. Must ata before each serial id? I've tried it but it doesn't work.

Ich habe xfs_repair mit -n ausgeführt, das bringt natürlich nichts.
xfs_repair ohne -n und die Daten waren wieder da.
