i reboot both computer tower works now and using 192.168 address. I guess shares are working it is showing the flash drive only under tower. Do I have to remake the shares? I lost my docker, plugin, and other settings doing this method.

Yeah one is for a 10gbe connection and one is for 1gb connection. I can't even connect to tower anymore. Tower is giving the wrong ip and I can't even connect to the web interface to get diagnostics.

As they say molex to sata lose your data! Use sata to 4x sata.

Those molex adapters are not safe if you check the forums online of some places!

I really miss SMB shares they just disappered one day. I have tried safe mode, rebooting, scrubing btfrs files nothing brings them back!!! I have tried running crushftp server through secure webdav but that is slow. Only 8-16mb. I was getting 60mb with SMB. The cache drive is still filling up either method which is weird and windows only sees TOWER and not the files. The files are all there! Also parity sync takes 16 days to finish, but I think it is because I am using external drives. I want faster then 7.7mb Parity sync people say they get 90mb on the forums. Please help and give detailed instructions on how to fix this! I have included my file to the forums. no problems at all. running fine. I stuck the hdd into a cloning hdd station and connected it usb 3.0 same as an external closure except with a different name.

Using different enclosure works thanks for the ideal now I can add to the array!!! Probably going to buy different types of HDDs for the probox in the future.

Does a parity drive fix unassigned drives if problems like errors like data corruption, or do they have to part of the array?

I have to buy a different model hdd or use internally I guess? Well I guess I can still use it as unassigned which is a bummer I'm tying to mass move my data to the array from freenas.

I'm outta of space, and the old mediasonic probox has no problem running 4 hdds as part of the array. If I change the name or mount point will that work? Only the hdd I got recently is not joining it's brothers as part of the array. I running 20 hdds and 5 are usb. only 1 is giving problems. Can i format it and it will work?

I'm using 2 proboxes enclosures one I got new and the old one lets me mount usb hdds as part of the array. I'm guess the new one I got is not letting me mount SDi as the 7th hdd. These are connected usb 3.0. I guess I can copy the data to the other disks only 500gbs were written but where is option to format this disk?

Basically its unassigned disk where I can access data under DISK instead of DISKS and it won't join the array I think its a usb disk that I mounted before that was part of the array. Plus there no option to format unless you do it by command line which I have no ideal how to do. I'm new at this!

The drive was part of the array but when I added a hdd with a similar model number it went to unassigned. I have tried new config, resetting the computer and powering it down but when click to my btrfs 8tb hdd under sdi it won't add to array. It shows up as unassigned disk, and under DISK with my data on there instead of disks. How I make it back to the arrray? It don't let me format only mount as unassigned disk.
