    I fired it up after the chkdsk and was able to boot into the server. Not sure what went wrong but I'm up and running.

    I've had my server shut down for over 6 months and finally fired it up again. I couldn't remember my username and password so I followed the manual and I'm still unable to log in. I tried to follow the second part of the password reset, however, I have no shadow file on the USB. This is what is displayed when I try to log in with the root and the blank (default) password.
