  1. Sorry about that. the notifications wasnt actived. finally, the problem was that i was configuring 2 new unraid nas while unraid web activation was down for 3-4 days. Since it was up again, everything was fine. this is nerve racking when you try to configure nases at the same time that unraid activation service is down (maintenance?).
  2. thank for your reply! huh, i was under the impression that since the parity was done and successful, unraid doesn't need to re-check it again (my seetings are at 'one for month'). But i'll install the plugin to see. 👍
  3. Thx for the reply! Quick update : still no new CPU 100% usage since yesterday. I think i found the problem : it may be the multitreads flag that was too high for the nas cpu when using robocopy (MT:x flag). i've set it up to the number of CPU and seems to work fine, for now. Another quick question if i may ask... The initial parity process seems to start all over again when rebooting (18hrs paritying the drives, goes to 100% with no errors - reboot - the parity start automaticly all over again). Any reasons why? The only way i found to 'bypass' the parity is to reboot again. After that, the parity says 'Parity is valid'.
  4. Whats the process to create a diagnotic zip file from the admin panel?
  5. Hi all, Trying to move my datas off one of my unraid servers since i got problems with it (raid controller, cpu stuck at 100%, parity, etc)... Just hope to be able to move 'quickly' my 21TG of datas (moving with robocopy since i'm dumping the datas to an external drive) ! This diagnostic was when the CPU was stuck at 100% while copying datas of the array during the night... At taht paste, it will take 3 months to move the datas... if ever i can. I've included my last diagnostic, hope someone could pinpoint the problem (also if you can tell me wich file to look at, so i can also troubleshoot the problem - could be great). My problems started 3 weeks ago, i hardly sleep since i'm looking at the server during the night (moving datas)... Hope one day i'll be able to smash that server without loosing any datas! Thank for your help. galactus-diagnostics-20220621-0251.zip
  6. hi all, just migrated to one of my unraid and it seems that my external ip/unraid key are blacklisted... here the symptoms: - did i fucked up switch usb (copying the data fro mthe old key to a new one. - key not valid anymore... ask for a updated one. - update the key file on the flash drive. - doesn't work (key isn't updated, message about internet connection, community page ( title: Download of appfeed failed). - update the dns (208.67.222.222) in the netword setting page)... doesnt work. - no internet from unraid (Trial Requires Internet Connection). - ping from the terminal : 208.67.222.222 ~ it resolve good. Since the ping from the terminal is working, it seems that my key is blacklisted or something like that... any help would be appreciated! Regards,
  7. so that nothing i can do? i was thinking of booting 3 times with 3 disk unmounted on the raid controller so i can see what random identification number is associate to the physical drive but i don't know if it will messed up my array.
  8. hi all, Building 2 new nas (Dell PowerShot R420), i've set the raid controller to have 4 VD so unraid can manage the disks by himself. Until now everything is working great. My only problem is the identification disks (see below). normally that's the serial number of the disk itself that is written there. I know i can rename the identification but unraid seems to not know the serial number of each disk,,, And in my raid controller i labelled each one with the serial number of the disk already, and i can't see either the identification number shown in unraid in my raid controller. Maybe i missed something, your help could be very usefull - Thank in advance !
  9. That's good to know, thank for the input! In my case, yes i want to copy large amount of data but the folders are re-organised... So it's not a mirror.
  10. thx, i'll give it a try and stop my process. i'll keep you posted! 👍
  11. hi all, i'm currently copying from one Unraid to another over 24TB of datas since 7days now (still currently copying 24h/7)... i was wondering what is the best was to copy large amount of datas from one Unraid to another... - i'm copying folders from my PC with source/destination with the network path mount (ie: \\server1\share1\*). - tryied with FreeFileCopy... workes but way too slow (copying on an average of 20-40kb/s). - tryied with TeraCopy... great since it's shows what files are now copied, but still slow. - tryied with robotcopy... workes well best one for far, but still way slow (can't know the datatransfer rate since it's a dos command). - tryied with default window copy... wrost one since it keeps asking if i want to copy/overwrite - and it's slow. - all my NIC are at 1000. Strangely, when i copy a file from my PC to one of the Unraid server, the transfer is around 115mb/s... wich is way faster that copying from one unraid to another... any ideas? Thx in advance!
  12. hi all, Got issue with caching... All my shares are at "Yes". It seems to not being used even if i send several Tb. Tried the "Prefer" setting. Seems to work but now my cache is always full (running a cache of 1Tb with an array of 21Tb). Now I've return to the "Yes" setting on all shares... hope that the cache will be empty soon! I can't do a 'Move' since unraid says that the mover is in "Disabled -- Mover is running". regards,

    Backup Solution

I'm looking for a similar thing too (backup my unraid shares to another on-site NAS) ans have the ability to mirror one way to the second NAS (not an actual sync then). The purpose of this is to have a exact copy of the first NAS to the other one (not looking for an image)... Ideally based on the path of my network (\\nas1\folder\*.* -> \\nas2\folder\*.*). Tried 2 sync/back docker script but they only allowed from within the NAS... that's no useful for me.
