Hello Guys, i need some help to troubleshoot my unraid server. Since 6.9 it startet to randomly freeze to the point that it is not pingable. I'm not sure if 6.9 has something to do with it or not. I wanted to know how can i make my syslog to be backed up on the array so i can see whats going on? Also note that i installed guacomole docker in 6.9, i highly daubt that this is the problem here but will try running the server without it. If somebody could provide a link on how to troubleshoot that would be very kind. Thanks for that hint. I have installed the plugin since day one and never looked at it. Just removed it and now everthing is working again. I feel stupid of not trying this on my own. Your my lifesaver 😃

Hello Guys, i noticed that my mover was not moving my shares to the array. It just stays on the cache. If i start the Mover it just Logs this: "Apr 9 20:59:24 NAS emhttpd: shcmd (210): /usr/local/sbin/mover &> /dev/null &" The Mover just stops directly after it is triggerd. I tried to set the shares to not use cache and then back to yes. But Problem stays the same. I also rebooted with out any difference. If i copie the files directly to the array there is no problem at all. The Problem happend properly some Version ago as my latest files are from 2020 and i have a daily schedule on the mover. Not sure what steps to make next. Would be thankfull for an advise on this. Thanks Salamy

Sry Guys if i pull this bit older thread back up, got myself a 30 series card today and need some more information. As i had an AMD Card before i only needed to put the vbios into me VM Edit page and that worked nicely. With the 30 Series, i did that aswell but i wont get an output on my screen. So one question does the vbios dumps from GPUz need to be edited as before on older Gens and if so it seem like the Hexedit seems to be different from what spaceinvader showed in his videos with older Gen Nvidias. Hello Guys, i have a graphical problem with the vm. If i install the VM it works fine i can change the networkadapter type in the XML file without problems. As soon as i touch ram or cpu cores (of cause adding the nessesary XML Code at the bottom afterwards) the VM still starts but i get a graphical glitsch. Thats makes the VM unusable. Even if i revert back to the default settings this glitsch doenst go away. I'm using VMC.. looks like this Is there an easy fix for this?

Hi, i just started with unraid so i am far off from an expert. here is my setup for an Ryzen 3600 System with a Radeon VII. For my windows 10 VM i set the PCIE ACS Override to Downstream in the Settingsmenue for VM. For the VM itself OVMF unpin the first core and its smt counterpart Q35 VMC -> install windows and all of the drivers from the virtuell driver disk -> do config of windows After that Shutdown. No i select my radeon as GPU and the correct Vbios (with my Radeon VII i had Problems because i used the wrong version, so might be the case for 5700 aswell) for example AMD.RX5700XT.8192.190616.rom = Version 616 so if thats not the Vbios on your card it wont work add my usb Mouse and Keyboard. -> then try if that works i ad my GPU Sound aswell Maybe that helps. Cant post my XML at the moment. I Can if you want later.

Hello i just want to say i made it work. Had been using the wrong .rom file. For the Radeon VII there are quite a few bios versions available. As my card is from early 2019 (or at least the Bios) it uses the bios version 211. So if you download the .rom file from powertechup you need to check which vbios version you need. The versionnumber is in the filename of the rom. In my case XFX.RadeonVII.16384.190211.rom = version 211 After i used the correct version display passthrough works fine. 3D Marks Firestrike gets me arround 22K with stock r5 3600@ with 16Gig 3200CL14. So close to a local installation.

Okay then i properly need a real dump of my GPU. My Linux Manjaro work fine without vbios but windows VW wont show a picture. Guess the Radeon VII is a problematic card to use aswell. Thank you testdasi

Hello, i have a question relating passthrough of my GPU. I read that in singel GPU Systems you may need to insert a dump file of your vbios. But also i read that some are lucky and you can use the .rom files from techpowerup. My question about that would be, can i use both file formats (.dump,.rom) for the implementation in the XML Settings/Code or do i need to rename the rom file? For example XXXX.rom rename to XXXX.dump Thanks for your help and time.

Hello Squid, shame on me, everything is back working know. I noticed that the package downloads failed because i installed AD Guard and used it as DNS. Somehow my unraid server couldn't resolve the package adresses anymore. Thanks for your fast support.

Hello Guys, i'm new to unraid und properly doing something wrong. Quick sumup of what was done. I installed unraid on an HP Microserver Gen8 (16GB ECC, Xeon 1230V2, SAS Controller LSI9211-8i, 4 HDD Plus Cache Drive). After that i created an Array with one parity drive and added an ssd as cache drive. So far all good. I went on and installed the community plugin/app. I started to install some dockers aswell as plugins which all worked fine. But out of a sudden i coulnd't install now more plugins (dockers work). I can install them an get the "DONE" buttton but after that they are not installed. They also showup in the "appstore" as not installed. I hope for little bit of help and guess i messed something up, but couldnt find a thread for this problem. Thanks a lot for your help.
