  1. I'm in the midst of moving some plugin configurations to dockers.  I believe I have all of the configurations set the same but I'm getting this error message:

Exit(1) Unable to open URL: [Errno socket error] [Errno 97] Address family not supported by protocol

I'm using the linuxserver.io repositores and SABnzbd,Sickbeard, & Couchpotato.  Both SB & CP successfully search & pass info to SAB but the error message pops up when SAB tries to pass info back for post processing.

It appears that something about putting these apps into dockers has caused an issue.

    Anyone have a suggestion?

    *** update***

I've just added Sonarr and I'm getting the same error.

Nothing is being passed back to the search app for post processes.

    *** question ***

when they were installed as plugins SAB was downloading to a directory outside of it's config.  Now as a docker the downloads/complete folder is inside of the SAB config.  Could this be causing the problem?  If so, how do I fix it?

  2. Hey I'm not sure what happened, but my Plex plugin stopped working. It was working fine yesterday and I haven't made any changes, but now it won't start. I even tried uninstalling/reinstalling. I'm just using all the default settings, but pressing Start just refreshes the page and it still says Status: STOPPED.

This is what it gives me in the logs:

Jan 18 00:00:08 trappedincloset emhttp: cmd: /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/Plexmediaserver/scripts/rc.Plexmediaserver buttonstart

Where do you have your apps installed?  Could you be out of space on that drive?

I had a similar issue another plugin.  As soon as I cleaned up the recycle bin on my app share everything worked.

  3. Since I updated to 6.2.1 I'm getting error messages when I boot.

    /usr/local/emhttp/plugins/recycle.bin/scripts/rc.recycle.bin: line 26: [: =: unary operator expected.

The error is repeated three times for lines 26, 29, & 32.

I'm not sure if recycle bin is currently working or not.  The plugin is dated 2016.10.07

    Thanks.

    Fixed in latest release.

Thanks.  I just received the update.  I'll reboot in the morning.

  5. handbrake?

    It can.

Ok I'll be a little bit more helpful.

Just set everything to pass though, and turn the logarithmic slider all the way down, and it's basically just a remux.

Handbrake is basically just a GUI for FFMPEG anyway.

    1) not sure which control is the "logarithmic slider",

    2) not sure how I'd incorporate this into a script, and

    3) not sure how I'd get HB installed on unRaid.

But still, I appreciate the suggestion.  I'll do some looking into it.

  6. Just to be sure you are not trying to solve a problem that doesn't actually exist, are you sure a docker does not already cover what you are trying to do?

not sure if there's a docker solution.  At the moment I'm still using plugin's (phAze's specifically).  But the specific issue is to demux & remux an mkv file to mp4 without any transcoding.

  7. I've moved my SAB & SB installation from my win7 box to my unRaid server and am using phAze's excellent plugins.  However I was running a post processing script to repackage my files from mkv containers to mp4 containers before SB would move the file to the correct location.  The script relied on ffmpeg & ffprobe.  I, however, have no idea how to get these two utilities to run on my unRaid server.

Can anyone point me to some instructions?

    Thanks in advance.

  8. I'm about to upgrade a drive to increase storage capacity (replacing a 2tb drive with a 4tb drive).

Other then age are there particular SMART stats I could be using to give me an indication as to which drive I should replace?

I've attached the four SMART reports.

    Thanks in advance.

  9. 42 hours in & I'm 23% through step 2 of 10.

    65 hours in & I'm 83% through step 2 of 10.

    72 hours in & just started the post-read (step 10 of 10)

It might be a xmas miracle!

    90 hours in & I'm 27% through step 10 of 10.

(it might be another 40 hours at this read rate... [sigh])

    113 hours in & 64% through step 10 of 10

137 hours & all steps have completed.

          (I hope it helped).

  10. ...And I tried using the preclear plugin but in the pop up it was asking me to type "Yes" and there was no way to do that in the popup so I'm running the same command in a telnet session.

    What version of unRAID?

    6.1.3

BTW, on the main screen I see the status of the pre-clear under Unassigned drives and on the Settings/Preclear page.  I just couldn't start the pre-clear from the UI.

  11. Not sure what exactly you are doing,

I'm upgrading a drive.  Removing an existing 2tb drive and replacing it with a new 4tb drive.

...the new drive does NOT have to be precleared...

Most people preclear new disks anyway as a test

That is why I thought I would run the preclear first.

  12. You don't mention whether USB2 or USB3.

USB2.  So, yup, definately the slow option.  I just didn't expect it to be this slow.

You also don't mention how exactly you are preclearing.

I'm still in the pre-read phase so it really doesn't matter.

And I tried using the preclear plugin but in the pop up it was asking me to type "Yes" and there was no way to do that in the popup so I'm running the same command in a telnet session.

  13. It's been a while since I've upgraded a drive and this will be the first time since I've upgraded to version 6.x so I thought I'd ask a question first.

I remember the preclear process taking quite a bit of time to complete so I thought that since there is now an easy way to mount a USB drive that I would run the preclear there and have it completed before I pull the old drive.  However I'm now 23 hours into the process on my 4tb drive and I'm only 69% through the pre-read process.  Here are my question:

When I replace the drive will unRaid recognize that the new drive has already been precleared, or will it rerun the process (ie, am I wasting my time)?

I'm trying to minimize the amount of time where I'm not properly protected (while the data is being rebuild from the parity).

    Thanks in advance.

  14. FYI, if you're not familiar with how to create a bootable USB Flash drive, just download Rufus ... it doesn't get any easier than that => you just run it and it will create a bootable flash drive for you;  then you just copy the Adaptec firmware upgrade for v2507 to the flash drive ... and then you're ready to boot with that flash drive on your UnRAID server and do the update.

    http://www.majorgeeks.com/files/details/rufus.html

Total time to download Rufus; download the Adaptec update; create a bootable flash drive; and do the update shouldn't be more than ~ 5 minutes  :)  [Maybe 10 if you're ultra cautious]

But you've not factored in the time to find a keyboard & a monitor!

    Thanks for the info!

  15. My card just arrived and the bios is v6.0-0 B2322.

Is the number you listed just the end of the version number?  Otherwise mine is 2,501 versions out of date!

    Not quite  :)

I believe you're actually 2 versions out of data => you have build 2322; they've got 2328 and 2507 on their site.

As already noted, you need 2507.    Just download it; create a bootable DOS USB flash drive; boot to it; and then run the update utility ... it will automatically update the card and you'll be ready to go.

It's needed just for drives over 2tb, right?  I'm about to bring it on line with 4 2tb drives.  I think it will be ok until I do the bios update.

  16. I'm thinking about buying this card.  Can you tell me what the "latest" firmware is so I can confirm with a potential seller?  Also, is the firmware flashable (ie, can I update it myself)?

Latest bios is 2507, you can download it from the adaptec website and flash it.

    Johnnie,
