ok I understand that, I am trying to get hold of my AM3+ CPU that I want in it, but with the isolation going on I cannot gain access to it will have to try this again once I switch the CPU. Thank you for your help ghost82

Here is my xml, will not let me change it to emulated in normal mode. Thanks for your response, I am trying to change my CPU mode to emulated and it just keeps setting it back to my cpu as the mode.

I have been having a look at this and I seem to get stuck at the first hurdle. I have gone through the process that the video tutorial says and I get to the press enter to boot into the recovery part and I just get the apple logo and no progress bar. I have changed no setting in the VM and I have nothing else running on the server. I have left it for a good while and its just sat there with CPU0 pegged at 100%.
