  1. every single drive is not showing up now. only the boot USB stick is working. could ALL my drives have died? or is this an issue w/ my supermicro?
  2. well, i had the top lid off the supermicro? maybe that messed up the airflow? all 5 fans are running. seems to be ok now w/ the lid closed. so far it is not overheating again.
  3. i mean, it was added to the array? i used to have 18TB free. now i have 5 something? it's a 12tb drive. it's brand new. i just bought it a couple months ago. sealed. thank you for your help! i'm not sure what to do about the drive. i can't click on the check filesystem status button b-diagnostics-20220609-0105.zip
  4. i have 5 fans? lol and i've never had issues with cooling before in the past 2 years - was my point. i have a supermicro 12 drive case with a ridic amount of fans. this is not a pic of my actual machine but it is similar. there is a fan at the back of the machine and a fan on the CPU as well as the 3 fans in the drive bay area.
  5. wow. wtf happened to my machine? it worked great for like 2 years?
  6. I added this disk like a month ago. i'm not sure if there's any data on it. i can't click the check button as it's greyed out. it's currently doing a parity check. i'm btrfs. so i need to restart in maintenance mode and run the check from the command line?
  7. oh, now i'm able to. it's on a different IP tho. but i'm back in. thx! but now i'm seeing my newest drive i had added a month ago is showing Unmountable : not mounted that's why my free space dropped. the disk was formatted and added to the array.
  8. ok. i'll force shut down the machine and open it up and take out the USB and try that. thx
  9. i was able to connect to it last week. i'm still able to connect to the server thru finder. i'm able to see all the folders and data and copy data to the share. i can ping the IP and i get data back. but when i type the ip in a web browser it says refused to connect. i know this has been asked countless times and i've tried reading thru the different posts but my situation seems different. i was able to connect to the GUI in the past. I am still able to connect to the share thru finder and use the share like normal. I'm just not able to access the webGUI anymore - also my free space went from 13TB to 5.69TB? which i thought was weird. thx in advance
  10. i have 4 disk array - well 5 w/ the cache setup like this. Disk 1 - 12 TB parity Disk 2 - 3 TB Disk 3 - 12 TB Disk 4 - 8 TB Disk 5 - 1TB SSD cache i have a 12 drive supermicro X9SCL / X9SCM if i add an 18TB or 20TB 2nd parity drive - then can i add future data drives of 18-20TB?
  11. got it. thx. so i'd need to upgrade my parity drive then to run larger data drives
  12. oh so data drives can only be as big as the smallest parity drive? if i'm understanding correctly?
  13. i'm using a 12tb drive as a parity drive right now. that makes 12tb the max drive size i can add to the array. if i add a 2nd parity drive at 18tb - then that means i can add 18tb drives to my array? thx i'm currently running 12tb - parity 3tb 12tb 8tb and have 12 trays open
  14. i am running BTRFS - i don't know where you would turn copy-on-write to no? where is this option? i did more research and i did all the smb editing on my macOS and unraid that i could find. it has improved. i'm up to 102GB now. I did turn off the signing. i have no idea what helped? maybe all of it? i tried all the suggestions i could find online and they did seem to help. at this rate i should be backed up in a few days which is acceptable for a 500gb initial backup. hopefully subsequent backups will be much quicker.
  15. i did this command here. i'm up to 31GB now. idk if it worked or helped at all but that's where i'm at
  16. yes that's what i did. i'm using private security. i'm up to 11gb now.
  17. so i had the problem with catalina not seeing the TM share. I edited the smb.servce file but that gave me the share isn't capable error. so i did the 2nd thing in that thread and created the timemachine.service and that worked! i'm able to select the time machine share and started a backup BUT..... it's been 24 hours and i've only copied 10GB out of 500GB. this will take almost 2 months to do a full backup? i've tried a few things i read about to speed it up like changing the capital letters or whatever to yes. that didn't improve anything. i've tried deleting the share and creating a new one. same thing. TM is super slow. any other options i'm missing? i'm running a 2019 MBP 16" i9 2.3ghz 16gb ram 1tb HD - macOS 10.15.7 - i do not want to update to big sur just yet but if that fixes TM then i would. thx
  18. i changed it to 45631 but it says connection refused?
  19. idk, but now it's saying it's not compatible w my unraid? Author:eroz DockerHub:eroz/airvideo Repository:Repository Categories:MediaServer:Video This application is not compatible with your version of Unraid
  20. I'm having trouble getting this to work too. I installed airvideo server with CA - I entered the paths. then I go to my Apple TV and add connection manually and its refused. I'm not sure which IP to use as it's showing 2? I tried both and one is refused and the other times out?
  21. I've been using airvideo server on my mac for a couple years now. just got an unraid box. i installed airvideoserver on unraid. i configured the docker and start it. i go into airvideo hd on my apple tv and try to manually add the IP and port and it won't connect. it times out. what am i doing wrong? any help would be appreciated.
  22. i did install unassigned devices plugin. that was in my first sentence. well i only have macs with no ethernet ports lol. i'm going to have to buy a usb ethernet adapter to move all this data. i can't get the unassigned devices plugin to work.
